for the Coachable platform
Version 1.2 | Effective July 2, 2026
Last Updated: July 2, 2026
Effective Date: July 2, 2026
| Plain-language summary: Coachable connects Athletes and Coaches and processes account information, photographs, videos, voice-over recordings, messages, transactions, general geographic information such as ZIP code, optional background-check status, marketing preferences, AI moderation flags, and safety information. Coachable does not request or intentionally collect health information and does not collect or store card or bank credentials. This policy explains how information is used, disclosed, retained, and deleted and the choices available to users. | |
| 1. Scope and Who We Are | |
This Privacy Policy describes how able Inc., doing business as Coachable (“Coachable,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use the Coachable mobile application, websites, video-analysis tools, messaging features, marketplaces, customer support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This policy applies to athletes, coaches, visitors, and other users of the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that have their own privacy policies, even when they are linked from the Services.
| 2. Personal Information We Collect |
The information we collect depends on the Services you use, the permissions you grant, and whether you participate as an athlete, coach, or visitor.
| Category | Examples |
| Account and identifiers | Name, username, date of birth, email address, phone number, postal address, account credentials, authentication information, profile photograph, and unique account identifiers. |
| Profile, sport, and professional information | Sports, teams, organizations, positions, coaching experience, certifications, credentials, skill level, training interests, biography, availability, general geographic information such as ZIP code, optional SpringVerify background-check status, and other profile details. |
| User content and communications | Videos, photographs, images, audio or voice-over recordings, annotations, coaching feedback, messages, reports, comments, attachments, and related metadata such as creation date and file source. |
| Connections and activity | Coaches, Athletes, teams, or organizations you connect with; profiles and content you view; searches; purchases; interactions; feature usage; sport and general geographic audience criteria used for in-app Coach marketing notifications; and the time, frequency, and duration of activity. Coaches do not receive the identities or personal information of notified Athletes unless an Athlete accepts an offering or communicates directly with the Coach. |
| Transactions | Purchase amount, transaction date, parties to a coaching transaction, service-completion status, payout status, chargeback information, and payment status. Payments are processed through Stripe Connect; Apple Pay and Google Pay are wallet options through Stripe. Coachable does not collect or store payment-card numbers, bank account numbers, or card or banking credentials. |
| Device and network information | IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, software version, language, time zone, mobile carrier or internet service provider, device identifiers, connection information, crash data, and diagnostic logs. |
| Media and notification permissions | Information you authorize through device permissions, including camera, microphone, photo library, and notifications, when needed for the feature you choose to use. |
| Optional background-check information | When a Coach voluntarily completes a SpringVerify background check, SpringVerify processes the information needed to perform the check. Coachable may receive the completion date, passing or failing status, badge eligibility, badge expiration date, and related verification information. |
| Safety, integrity, and support information | Reports of abuse or misconduct, evidence submitted with a report, account verification information, customer-support communications, fraud or security signals, AI-generated content or conduct flags, Ombudsman complaints and appeals, human-review results, and actions taken to enforce the Terms. |
| Information from others and service providers | Information other users provide about you and information from payment processors, optional background-check providers, hosting, communications, security, content-moderation, and other service providers, as permitted by law. |
| 3. Sources of Personal Information |
- Directly from you when you create an account, complete a profile, upload content, communicate, make a purchase, contact support, or submit a safety report.
- Automatically from your device and use of the Services through logs, cookies, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies used to operate and secure the Services.
- From other users, such as a coach who analyzes an athlete video or an athlete or parent who submits information about a coach.
- From payment processors, optional background-check providers, hosting providers, communications providers, content-moderation providers, and other service providers, as permitted by law.
| 4. How We Use Personal Information |
| Purpose | How information is used |
| Provide the Services | Create and manage accounts; display profiles; connect athletes and coaches; support messaging, video upload, analysis, annotation, voice feedback, purchases, and related features. |
| Personalize and improve | Recommend coaches, athletes, content, and features; rank profiles and search results; remember preferences; troubleshoot; test features; and improve usability, security, and performance. |
| Process transactions | Facilitate payments through Stripe Connect, including Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet transactions; maintain funds within Stripe’s payment infrastructure for able Inc. until a service is completed; transfer Coach payouts to connected Stripe accounts; process chargebacks; provide revenue and jurisdiction reporting to Coaches; and maintain accounting and transaction records. Coachable does not collect or store card or bank credentials. |
| Communicate | Send service notices, security alerts, transaction messages, policy updates, support responses, and in-app marketing messages from Coaches based on a user’s sport participation and general geographic area, subject to the user’s messaging preferences. |
| Safety and integrity | Verify accounts and credentials; use AI tools to screen photographs, videos, voice-over recordings, messages, and other content for inappropriate material and flag potential violations of the Terms; conduct human review; administer Ombudsman complaints and appeals; detect fraud, spam, abuse, harmful conduct, or policy violations; investigate reports; protect users; and cooperate with lawful authorities. |
| Coach marketing audience selection | Use sport participation and general geographic metadata, such as ZIP code, to route authorized in-app marketing notifications from Coaches to potentially relevant Athletes. The Coach does not receive the notified Athletes’ identities or personal information unless an Athlete accepts the offering or communicates directly with the Coach. Users may opt out through Messaging Preferences within Privacy Settings. |
| Legal and business operations | Comply with law; establish or defend legal claims; audit systems; enforce agreements; secure the Services; and support corporate transactions. |
| 5. How We Disclose Personal Information |
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
| Recipient or situation | Description |
| People you choose to interact with | Athletes, Coaches, teams, or organizations receive information and content you direct to them. Private messages, photographs, videos, and voice-over recordings are available to the participants and may be processed by AI screening tools and reviewed by authorized Coachable personnel when necessary for support, safety, an Ombudsman complaint or appeal, legal compliance, or enforcement. |
| Public or searchable profiles | Profile fields you designate as public or searchable may be visible to registered users or, where indicated, to the public through the Services. Do not post information you do not want others to see. |
| Payment processors and transaction parties | Stripe Connect processes payments and maintains funds within Stripe’s payment infrastructure for able Inc. until the applicable service is completed. Apple Pay and Google Pay may be used as wallet options through Stripe. Coachable does not collect or store card or bank credentials. Coaches and Athletes receive only the transaction and service information needed to complete the purchased service, administer the payout, or address a chargeback. |
| Service providers | Hosting, cloud storage, communications, customer support, identity verification, security, AI content screening and moderation, payment, optional background-check, survey, and professional-service providers process information for Coachable under contractual restrictions. |
| Coach marketing messages | Coaches may select a sport and general geographic area for an authorized in-app marketing offering. Coachable uses platform metadata to notify potentially relevant Athletes. The Coach does not receive names, identities, contact details, or other personal information about notified Athletes unless an Athlete accepts the offering or communicates directly with the Coach. Coachable does not disclose personal information to outside advertising networks for this purpose. |
| Optional background-check providers | When a Coach voluntarily requests a background check, SpringVerify receives the information needed to perform the check. Coachable may receive the completion date, passing or failing status, badge eligibility, badge expiration date, and related verification information. A Coach disputes an inaccurate result through the SpringVerify candidate dashboard. |
| Legal, safety, and enforcement | We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with legal process; respond to regulators; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce our terms; protect rights, property, or safety; or prevent death or serious harm. |
| Corporate transactions | Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law. |
| With consent or direction | We may disclose information for another purpose when you direct or consent to the disclosure. |
| 6. Sale, Sharing, External Advertising, and Coach Marketing |
Coachable does not sell personal information for money, does not disclose personal information to outside advertising networks, and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Coaches may create in-app marketing offerings by selecting a sport and general geographic area, such as a ZIP code. Coachable uses its own platform metadata to deliver an in-app notification to potentially relevant Athletes. The Coach does not receive the names, identities, contact information, or other personal information of the notified Athletes unless an Athlete accepts the offering or communicates directly with the Coach through the App.
Users may opt out of receiving Coach marketing messages through Messaging Preferences within Privacy Settings. This preference does not prevent Coachable from sending service, transaction, account-security, safety, or legal notices.
| 7. Payments |
Payments are processed through Stripe Connect. Apple Pay and Google Pay may be selected as wallet options through Stripe. Funds remain within Stripe’s payment infrastructure for able Inc. until the applicable service is completed and are then transferred to the Coach’s connected Stripe account. Coachable does not collect or store payment-card numbers, bank account numbers, or card or banking credentials. Coachable receives transaction information needed to operate the Services, including the paying account, receiving Coach, amount, status, service-completion status, payout, and chargeback information.
| 8. Cookies and Similar Technologies |
Coachable uses cookies, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, understand use, diagnose problems, and measure performance. Coachable does not use these technologies to provide cross-context behavioral advertising.
You may block or delete cookies through your browser or device controls, but doing so may affect sign-in, preferences, or other Service functionality.
| 9. Children and Teen Users |
Coachable is available only to users age 13 or older. During account creation, users must provide a date of birth. Coachable does not allow creation of an account when the stated date of birth indicates that the user is under 13. Users age 13 and older may create and use an account without parental supervision. If Coachable learns that an account belongs to a child under 13, Coachable will disable the account and promptly delete the associated personal information, except for limited records that Coachable is permitted or required to retain for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or another lawful purpose.
| 10. Health Information and Information Coachable Does Not Intentionally Collect |
Coachable does not request or intentionally collect medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, injury records, or other health information. Coaches may review athlete-submitted videos, photographs, voice recordings, sport information, and related content to provide non-medical guidance about technique, training, strategy, and athletic performance. Users should not submit medical or health information through profiles, messages, videos, or support channels. Coachable does not intentionally collect precise geolocation, imported address-book contacts, call or SMS history, Bluetooth or nearby-device signals, biometric identifiers, or information about activity on unrelated websites or applications. Coachable may use general geographic information, such as a ZIP code, city, state, or selected service area, for search, matching, account functions, and in-app Coach marketing notifications. Uploaded photographs, videos, voice-over recordings, messages, and other content may be screened by Coachable’s AI moderation tools for inappropriate content or potential violations of the Terms.
| 11. Optional Coach Background Checks |
Coachable does not require Coaches to complete a background check. A Coach may voluntarily complete a background check through SpringVerify. A Coach does not receive a passing result if the check identifies a felony conviction of any kind or a misdemeanor conviction involving theft, fraud, assault, or indecency with a child. A passing Coach may receive a background-check badge next to the Coach’s profile and elevated placement in Athlete search results. The badge expires three years after the passing result, and the Coach’s search ranking is reduced after expiration unless the Coach completes a new passing check. A failed check does not prevent the Coach from using the platform or providing coaching services. A Coach may dispute an inaccurate SpringVerify result through the Coach’s SpringVerify candidate dashboard. A badge, passing result, or elevated ranking is not a guarantee of identity, qualifications, character, future conduct, or safety.
| 12. Data Retention and Deletion |
Coachable retains personal information only for the periods described below. Transaction, payout, tax, chargeback, fraud-prevention, safety, enforcement, and legal records may be retained for seven years after the applicable transaction, event, or record was created, and longer when required by law or a legal hold. Other account information and User Content are deleted or deidentified after account deletion, subject to recipient copies, active disputes, safety needs, legal obligations, and temporary backup retention. Information associated with an account that Coachable determines belongs to a child under 13 is handled under the prompt-deletion rule in Section 9.
| Information | Retention approach |
| Account and profile information | Retained while the account is active. After account deletion, account and profile information is deleted or deidentified from active systems, except for limited records that Coachable is permitted or required to retain for transactions, taxes, chargebacks, fraud prevention, safety, enforcement, disputes, legal compliance, or a legal hold. |
| User Content, messages, photographs, videos, voice-over recordings, and analyses | Retained while needed to provide the Services. After account deletion, this information is deleted or deidentified from active systems unless it is needed for an active transaction, recipient copy, safety matter, Ombudsman complaint or appeal, fraud investigation, dispute, enforcement action, legal obligation, or legal hold. Copies retained by recipients may remain outside Coachable’s control. |
| Transaction, payout, tax, and chargeback records | Retained for seven years after the applicable transaction or record was created, and longer when required by tax, accounting, payment, anti-fraud, chargeback, dispute-resolution, or other applicable law. |
| Security, abuse, AI moderation, Ombudsman, and enforcement records | Retained for seven years after the applicable event or record was created, and longer when reasonably necessary for an active investigation, safety matter, legal hold, fraud prevention, enforcement action, or compliance obligation. |
| Optional SpringVerify background-check status | Badge status is displayed for three years after a passing result. Coachable may retain the result status, date, badge history, and dispute-related records for seven years after the record was received or created, and longer when required for an active dispute, legal hold, fraud prevention, or compliance obligation. SpringVerify retains information under its own privacy notice. |
| Information associated with a child under 13 | If Coachable learns that an account belongs to a child under 13, Coachable will promptly delete the associated personal information, except for limited records that Coachable is permitted or required to retain for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or another lawful purpose. |
| Backups and deidentified information | Deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups until the backups are overwritten in the ordinary course. Aggregated or deidentified information that can no longer reasonably identify a person may be retained for a longer period and will not be reidentified except as permitted by law. |
| 13. Security and Incident Response |
Coachable uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, employee and contractor confidentiality obligations, and secure disposal practices. No system is completely secure, and Coachable cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
If Coachable confirms a security incident affecting personal information, it will investigate, contain, and remediate the incident and provide notices to affected users, regulators, or others without unreasonable delay and as required by applicable law.
| 14. Your Choices |

| 15. Privacy Rights and Requests |
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable legal exceptions, you may have the right to confirm whether Coachable processes your personal information; access or obtain a copy; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; receive portable data; withdraw consent; and, where required by law, appeal a denied request. You may separately opt out of Coach marketing notifications through Messaging Preferences within Privacy Settings.

A Coachable representative will verify that the email address and telephone number supplied with the request correspond to a valid current or former Coachable account and may request additional information when reasonably necessary to verify identity or authority. Coachable will respond within 45 days after receiving a verifiable request and may extend that period when permitted by law after providing notice. If applicable law requires an appeal process, an appeal must be submitted through the same Contact Us page. After Coachable completes any review or appeal required by law, Coachable’s determination is final within Coachable’s internal process. Coachable will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

| 16. U.S. State-Specific Disclosures |
State privacy laws may provide residents with rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and, where required, to appeal certain request decisions. The categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and categories of recipients are described in Sections 2 through 6. Requests must be submitted and verified as described in Section 15.
Coachable does not sell personal information for money, does not share personal information with outside advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not profile users to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Users may opt out of Coach marketing messages through Messaging Preferences within Privacy Settings.
| 17. International Processing |
Coachable is provided by a U.S. company. Personal information may be stored or processed in the United States and other locations where Coachable or its service providers operate. These locations may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Coachable uses legally required safeguards for international transfers when applicable.
| 18. Changes to This Policy |
Coachable may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, data practices, vendors, or law. The updated policy will identify the new “Last Updated” date. When required, Coachable will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
